Mum & Son

Thai immigrants now both British Nationals with a deep connection to our routes, my passion for food was inspired by my mum and our culture, food is a celebration, a get together and a way to nourish the soul at the end of a hard working day. Our family in Thailand owned a street food stool selling Moo Ping (Pork Skewers) and Sticky Rice, my family worked countless hours selling at the night marketing , marinating and cooking whilst raising me and my 2 young cousins. Together we bring amazing food that isn't just a treat for the weekend or a meal out but something you can look forward to at the end of your day, ready in minutes.

Lek

Hi my name is Lek, I have many years hospitality experience in kitchens, running my own market vendor and most recently on HS2 helping working in a high volume kitchen with lots of hungry workers!

Why Gon Thai Kitchen?

For me, it has always been a dream to be a part of something that felt like my own, so when Gon pitched this idea with our family, my story being the core of this business. I could not be prouder to be a part of this, It would an honour to share my food and culture with you.

GON

Well where do I start? No culinary school, just driven by my tastebuds. I have worked in hospitality as a cinema manager for 3 years and 4 years in Recruitment and HR and alongside that a part time Thaiboxing coach.

You may have seen me on your screen recently on a little show called Masterchef 2025 season, hopefully this tells you all about my love for food.

Cooking for loved ones and discovering new flavours is pretty much my goal in life, food feeds the soul, as well as great people, amazing stories and satisfied tummies.

As you can see tried out many careers but now I leaped listened to my heart and launched Gon Thai Kitchen with the biggest inspiration in my life.
